Wood in SilverLake is where you need to be for some awesome Italian dishes. We started off with BURRATA & CROSTINI The lemon zest and olive oil on top were a fabulous touch! Their lamb chops were perfectly grilled. And the side arugula salad was so refreshing. The Della Nonna pasta was great. The chunks of slow braised beef in there was so tender and tasty. And of course the star of the show was their sausage pizza. The Neapolitan style crust was so airy and light. The toppings were fresh and flavorful. Love the laidback atmosphere. It's very chill and relaxed and the service is great. Wood is where it's at. Go on, treat yourself to a slice (or three). You won't regret it.

We recently celebrated our birthdays with date night at The Wood in Silverlake, and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. We kicked off our evening with some delicious appetizers: the meatballs and fried risotto balls were both exceptional. The flavors were well-balanced, and each bite was a delight. One of the highlights of our night was discovering that bottles of wine are 50% off after 5pm--an amazing deal that added to the celebratory mood. The service was outstanding. Our server was attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the evening. We opted for patio seating, which turned out to be perfect for the warm evening. The ambiance was cozy and relaxed, making it an ideal setting for our special night. Overall, The Wood in Silverlake provided an excellent dining experience. I highly recommend it for any special occasion or just a nice night out. Bonus tip: there is a small parking lot in the back of the restaurant.

A small, intimate spot in Silver Lake. Stopped by on a Wednesday night with a reservation. Didn't seem like I needed one as only few tables were occupied. I sat inside but outdoor patio looked cute. With few recommendations from the friendly server, my friend and I got crispy brussel sprouts, carbonara, della nona, and prosciutto pizza with a carafe of montepiciano (similar to cabernet). Everything was good but the pizza was a bit salty for me. Serving sizes were perfect but on the more expensive side. I definitely want to come back for the happy hour menu. There is a small parking lot which is nice considering how hard parking is in Silver Lake.

Went into Silverlake with friends to try out wood on a Friday night and was fairly impressed! Took us about 10 minutes to be seated but the ambiance was very nice and we were sat at a table promptly with some very nice service throughout the entire night, especially given the fact that we stayed for many hours that night having good conversation! The food was very good with fair portions for these rather expensive Italian places. I believe the move with this place is to focus on their pizzas that were fresh and of good portions as opposed to the pastas that were lacking in portions and quite average. We paired things well with a coastal Pinot noir that paired with our food well! I would probably head out here for a happy hour, but unsure of a full meal as it was quite pricey for what we got.

We decided to try this place out because we were craving Italian food and... hmmmmmmm so gud! My pasta paired with the wine was amazing! It didn't take too long for us to get seated ... possibly 15-20minutes. This place was quite delicious but it wasn't anything too special either. You can tell the ingredients they used in the pizza and pasta were high quality ingredients. The workers were attentive and gave great suggestions since we loved everything ordered.

Can I just say wooooowwwww ‍ Had this place saved on my Yelp for the longest time and finally got to try it the other day and let me just say I've been thinking about this pizza every week since The dough was chewy, crispy and just the perfect thickness (no flopping! - the best kind let's be honest...) The sauce was tangy and flavorful and had the perfect ratio of cheese: toppings: sauce. The char was also excellent so flavorful and 100% worth that disapproving head shake from mom about char giving you cancer The pasta and brussel sprouts were both very good as well but pizza stole the show fssss IG: Spillingthe.beans
